Attached Staff

 

The Surgery has a number of attached staff who are based at the Surgery or elsewhere. 

The Community Nurses

The Health Visitors

Midwife

The Physiotherapists

The Community Nurses

The community nurses are part of the practice team. They provide care for people who are unable to attend the Surgery should they require dressings to wounds, injections, or assessment for other care at home.

They also provide information about their care and liase with other professionals on their behalf as necessary. The prevention of complications and deterioration in peoples health are part of their role. They also help people maintain as healthy and pain free a life style as possible.

The Health Visitor

The health visitors are nurses who have a variety of functions which includes the promotion of health particularly in preschool children. 

The Midwife

Our community midwife works within a midwifery team in this area. She provides care and advice for all pregnant women from early pregnancy through to until the baby is approximately two weeks old. She has 2 clinic sessions a week for antenatal checks at the Surgery

The Physiotherapist

The physiotherapist attends the surgery every week for assessment of patients. An appointment with the physiotherapist can be arranged only after consultation with the doctors.
