Burgess Road Surgery has been looking after students health for over 20 years. We understand and appreciate the specific needs of students especially while away from home.
Burgess Road Surgery is conveniently placed within walking distance from most of the halls of residence - Montefiore, Stoneham House, Connaught, Chamberlain and Glen Eyre Halls of Residence.

Services
Reception
We aim to be as accessible as is possible. The Surgery is open for all of the
working hours from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Appointments
We aim to see all patients within 24 hours for routine appointments and on the
same day for urgent problems. We have reached our target of seeing at least 90%
of all people requesting an appointment within 24 hours.
Additional Services
There is a full range of services especially for continuing illnesses such as
diabetes and asthma. We also provide a full range of contraceptive services.
For students at the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University a counselling service can be readily accessed.
Register
It is important for all students to be registered with a doctor. In the first week of the academic year we arrange to make the process of registration as easy as is possible. Students can register at the Surgery on any day.
For your convenience you can register with the Surgery by printing off the Registration Form, completing it and posting it to the Surgery.
At the time of registration all patients are offered a registration health check by the Practice Nurse to assess your health needs.
