Patient Survey Results 2007-8
A Department of Health patient survey was carried out to assess what patients thought
of the access to the Health Professionals by phone and face to face
consultations.
4 areas of access were looked
at
1. Telephone access (how easy was it to speak to a Doctor on the phone)
2. 48 hour access to a GP (how easy was it to book an appointment within
48 hrs of phoning)
3. Advanced booking (how easy was it to book an appointment with a Doctor
more than 2 days ahead)
4. Advanced booking with a specific GP (how easy was is to book an
appointment with a specific Doctor more than 2 days ahead)
Results
In total 779 forms were distributed.
208 completed forms were received = 27%
1. Satisfaction with telephone access
Total number of responses = 140
Number satisfied = 137
Percentage satisfied = 98%
2. Satisfaction with 48hr access
Total number of responses = 110
Number satisfied = 102
Percentage satisfied = 93%
3. Satisfaction with advanced booking
Total number of responses = 81
Number satisfied = 77
Percentage satisfied = 95%
4. Satisfaction with advanced booking with a specific Doctor
Total number of responses = 98
Number satisfied = 91
Percentage satisfied = 93%
