Medical Examinations not covered by the NHS
i.e. insurance medicals, pre-employment medicals, HGV & taxi driving medicals, etc are done by the Doctors, for patients registered with the Surgery, at BMA recommended standard charges. Please speak to the Receptionists to arrange an appointment.
Ophthalmology Clinic
From 1 April 2001 General Practitioners in Central Southampton have been able to refer patients with certain eye conditions to the Ophthalmology Clinic at Burgess Road Surgery run by Dr Bhatt. This leads to shorter waiting times for patients requiring expert assessment for their eye conditions.
